african dwarf frog
what a delightfull little frog to have it is a little more advanced to care for then most fish but it is great and rewording to have and intresting to watch as they are still an air breather the seem to jump and swim from the bottom to the surface you should have you should have plants and ornaments with there hight half way up the tank so the can have a break because they breath air if they cant get to the surface they obviosly drown they hide under ornaments bog wood and in plants. i recommend if you see these little critters go and get them they very peacefull and intresting to watch
behaviour
peacefull nd when you feed them i cant work out weather its a fight or they work as a team trying to break up the bloodworms so they can eat
it. they also shed there skin and it seams to headbutt the gravel to losen the skin around the nose and once they have that bit doine if you watch them carefully you see them use there front feel to push the rest of the skin of the bodies its facinating they also lay on the surface called the z position when i first saw this i thought they have died but had done some research and found all this out its realy good to see
size 1 and a half inches
diet
blood worms i feed mine once a week will eat algy and flake food and sometimes i have seen mine eat sinking pellets

japicona alge eating shrimp
now these critters are great and sneaky when i have put in sinking pellets in the tank they seem to run to the food grab and run off with it before any of the others notice
the thing i find facinating is that they seem to walk on all the layers of the water i only have them through my partners nagging lol but now i have them i love them and just like the african dwarf frogs they shed there skin but this is a much faster process as in the morning you see the skin and be aware it is not a dead shrimp just the skin if you look carefully you can see straight through sometimes they eat the skin fothe vitmins and calcium they lose while shedding but they dont always eat it so i sugest leave it in the tank for a day then take it out
behaviour
very sly shimp in the way i explained with stealing food lol they are very peacefull i have three the females are useually bigger then the males and they seem to constantly eat you can observe them cleaning and eating the alge of the gravel
size 2 inches
diet algae and sinking catfish pellets
